Research Interest:

The Generasi Berencana (Genre) Program is one of the strategic steps of the Indonesian government to address the challenges of fulfilling adolescent reproductive health rights. This program aims to improve adolescents ' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors to plan a healthy and responsible life, particularly regarding reproductive health and family planning. This study examines the Genre program's impact on increasing awareness and fulfilling reproductive health rights among adolescents in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. Data was collected from 35 kinds of literature, documents, and official government reports that were selected purposively based on relevance, credibility, and publication period. The selection process considered the most representative sources related to the Family Planning program in Indonesia. Data analysis was carried out manually using content analysis techniques, which included coding, categorizing, and identifying key themes related to the program's effectiveness, challenges, and impacts. This approach allows an in-depth understanding of the program's implementation and the sociocultural context influencing men's participation in Family Planning. The research findings indicate that the Genre program has great potential in providing comprehensive education and adequate access to information for adolescents regarding reproductive health. This program improved adolescents' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors about planning a healthy and responsible life. Consequently, the risks of unwanted pregnancies, the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, and other reproductive health issues can be minimized. However, several challenges must be addressed, such as the program's limited reach in remote areas, a lack of optimal cross-sector involvement, and resistance from specific community groups due to conservative social norms and values. The success of the Genre program greatly depends on sustainable implementation and active participation from various parties. The government and related partners need to strengthen synergies, expand the program's coverage, and adapt educational strategies to be more responsive to cultural diversity and the needs of adolescents. Thus, this program serves as an educational tool and becomes an essential foundation for developing healthy and quality human resources in the future.
